For the 2019 edition of the DG DEVCO and DG NEAR Staff Seminar, we decided to overhaul the familiar design of previous editions to create visual depth, while making the stage more open, interactive and spacious. Cutting edge photo realistic rendering and VR techniques allowed us to discover the new design with our customer in 360°, well before construction even started.
The main feature of the stage are 2 large floating LED walls, enabling attendees to follow all slides and information throughout the meeting. A special pre-rig construction was created to spread the weight of these screens over multiple beams in the historic ceiling. For the eye-catching video pillars, we used special 350kg concrete truss bases. Using high brightness LED screens allowed us to bring the sunshine in, bringing the legacy of the venue to life. An anthracite curtain with high power LED up lights across the entire width of the shed formed a solid camera backdrop, while 5 of our lightbox frames with a cloud print brought detail and depth to the background. Automated LED key and side lighting and a custom-built stage completed the set-up.
At mediAVentures, we always try to bring the sunshine into a venue. The days of gathering in a small, dark room to watch a noisy projector are behind us. LED screens are perfectly scalable, while their extreme brightness and sharpness makes them an ideal choice in any environment.
